Mortgage Case Handler

We are looking for an experienced Mortgage Case Handler to join our busy team in Altrincham.  This is a vital role, providing dedicated, efficient administrative support for our Mortgage Consultants.
 
Duties include:

  • Provide an efficient new business processing service liaising with clients, lenders and solicitors ensuring that new business is set up correctly from application to completion
  • Provide administration support in relation to the mortgage application process and initial documentation requirements, often requesting documents from clients
  • Ensure that all client information is stored on the relevant system and it is updated accurately and timely checking that all compliance requirements are met
  • Provide an effective link between the client and the consultant ensuring that both are kept up to date with all matters relating to the mortgage and related products
  • Issue documents to clients where appropriate and ensure that they are issued within the agreed turnaround times e.g. terms of business, key facts, mortgage illustrations and suitability letters
  • Keying of mortgage applications as required by brokers

 Skills required:

  • Good working knowledge of the complex buy-to-let market and basic lender criteria 
  • Experience with bridging finance
  • Clear understanding of lenders packaging requirements and submission of cases to lenders
  • Confident dealing with clients and keeping them updated throughout the application process
  • Updating client’s portfolios and maintaining accurate records for portfolio landlords
