Mortgage Administrator

We are looking for someone to provide a dedicated, efficient administrative support for the Mortgage Case Handlers and Consultants.

Principle Accountabilities: 

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the Mortgage Consultants and Case Handlers by completing daily tasks
  • Ensure that the Mortgage team switchboard is manned, and all calls and messages are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Monitor the Mortgage team workflow mailbox ensuring that relevant tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensure that the loan scheme date reminders are managed on a monthly basis
  • Ensure that all rate switches are keyed to the lender on the same day that the paperwork is received
  • Open, sort and distribute the incoming post for the Mortgage team and provide cover on a rota basis for the outgoing evening post
  • Ensure all information is entered onto Intelligent Office maintaining up-to-date records of client's personal details, plans, contact history and task history ensuring that all compliance requirements are met
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as required by the Head of Mortgages, Mortgage Consultants, or the Mortgage Team Manager
  • Ensuring that any complaints (formal or informal), breaches or losses are reported to the Compliance Officer at the earliest possible opportunity
  • To undertake reasonable additional duties at the request of your Line Manager as may be required from time to time

Essential requirements:

  • Confident in using a range of IT packages including Microsoft Office
  • Flexible team player with the ability to build relationships with consultants
  • Outgoing, positive, can-do attitude

Desirable requirements: 

  • Willingness to study towards CII Mortgage qualification
  • Intermediate Intelligent Office skills
